Meshblocks

Meshblocks 2018 generalised release of meshblock boundaries as at 1 January 2018. A meshblock is the smallest geographic unit for which statistical data is collected and processed by Stats NZ. Layers Area Unit and Meshblock are added under the Other group in Quickmap. Published August 2019

Land Use

Land Use Classifications based on the New Zealand Land Resource Inventory (NZLRI), with surveys carried out from the early 1970s to the mid 1990s. Classifications include arable use such as soil physical or chemical properties, erosion and other land use clasifications. Layers Land Use Parcels and Land Use labels are added to the Land Use group in Quickmap. Published August 2017

Building outlines

Building outlines provides current outlines of buildings within mainland New Zealand captured from the latest aerial imagery. A building outline is a 2D representation of the roof outline of a building which has been classified from LINZ aerial imagery using a combination of automated and manual processes to extract and refine a building roof outline. Buildings updated from LINZ 8-Jan-20 and Published on this website 26-Jan-2020

Historic Owner

Historic Private and Corporate owners dating back to 2000-2002 derived from certificate of title. This will add a Historic owners layer to Quickmap, and the ability to search Historic Owners by clicking the find button on the Quickmap toolbar, then clicking on the Historic Owner tab. The existing Title Preview functionality in Quickmap can be used to view Historic Titles. Historic Owners are currently updated monthly.

Contour North

North Island update of 20 metre contours. This will replace the existing Contour layer under the Topo Group in Quickmap. The Height (Z) coordinate can be exported in DXF format for viewing in 3D packages such as AutoDesk if you have Quickmap version 8.3.7402 released 7 April 2020.
